If you are looking for authentic recipes from Bengal, I’m afraid there will only be a handful of such recipes on this site. Growing up in America, I never quite acquired the taste for traditional fish such as Hilsha (Shad), or Sutki (dried fish), and vegetables such as Laal Shaak (red spinach) or Pui Shaak (malabar spinach), and Korla (bitter melon) just to name a few items.  The recipes I’ve put together are really a fusion of Bengal with other cuisines.  I do hope your friends and family will enjoy them as much as mine do.
