Cauliflower & Potato Bhorta

Cook Time: 30 mins
Serves: 6 to 8


  • 1 Small Cauliflower (Cut into large florets)
  • 1 Large Potato
  • 1 Small Onion (thinly sliced)
  • 3 or 4 Small Thai Green Chili Pepper (diced)
  • 1 Tbsp. Mustard Oil
  • 1 Tsp. Salt


  1. Boil Potato in a Small Pot, with 1/2 Tsp. of Salt for 10 to 15 Minutes
  2. Boil Cauliflower Florets in a Medium Pot, over High Heat for about 10 Minutes (Add 1/4 Tsp. of Salt to Pot)
  3. When the Cauliflower is Soft, Remove from Water, and Mash with either your Hands or with a Masher
  4. Peel the Potato, Mash, and Mix with the Mashed Cauliflower
  5. Add Onions, Chili Pepper, remainig Salt, Mustard Oil, and Mix together
  6. Serve with White Rice
