Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
- 1 Medium Onion (Diced)
- 1-1/2 Cup Frozen Peas
- 1-1/2 Cup Jasmine Rice
- 1/2 Tsp. Turmeric Powder
- 3/4 Tsp. Sea Salt
- 2-1/2 Cups Water
- 1/2 Green Chili Peppers
- 1/4 Tsp. Crushed Red Peppercorns
- A Small Pinch of Saffron
- 1/2 Tbsp. Butter
Method
- In a Medium Saucepan, Add Olive Oil, Onions, and Peas and Sautee for about 2 to 3 minutes over Medium heat
- Add Rice and Sautee for another minute, Add Water immediately
- Add Turmeric, Salt, Crushed Peppercorns, Saffron and Butter
- Cover pot and cook for about 7 minutes, mixing 1 or 2 times
- Turn heat to Medium Low and continue to cook another 5 minutes
- Finally turn heat to Low and continue to cook another 10 minutes or until rice is fully cooked
- Serve with Kabab or Steak
