Marinate Shrimp

Cut Onion, Ginger, and Garlic

Add Onions to Shimp

Chop Mustard Greens

Sautee Onions, Ginger, and Garlic

Add Fenugreek and Cumin

Add Marinated Shrimp to Pan

Add Cumin and Paprika

Sautee Shrimp

Add Mustard Greens

My Recipe

Serves: 4 to 6

Ingredients

  • 1 Lb. Extra Large (26 to 30 Count) Shrimp
  • 2 Tsp. Sambal Oelek Ground Chili Paste
  • 1 Dried Red Chili
  • 1 Large Onion (Diced)
  • 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 3 Cloves of Garlic (thinly Sliced)
  • 1 Tbsp. Ginger (thinly Sliced)
  • 1 Tsp. Fenugreek
  • 1 Tsp. Cumin
  • 1 Tsp. Salt
  • 2 Tsp. Cumin Corrainder Spice
  • 1/4 Tsp. Paprika
  • 6 Stalks of Mustard Greens (Chopped)

Method

  1. In a Medium Bowl, Mix Shrimp with Sambal Oelek Ground Chili Paste and Dried Red Chili
  2. Add half of Diced Onion to Shrimp, Mix and Marinate for about 10 Minutes
  3. In a Large Frying Pan over Medium Heat, Add Olive Oil, remaining Diced Onions, Ginger, Garlic and Sautee for about a Minute
  4. Add Cumin and Fenugreek and Sautee for another Minute
  5. Add Marinated Shrimp
  6. Add Cumin Coriander Spice, Paprika, and Salt; Sautee for about 3 Minutes over Medium High Heat
  7. Add Mustard Greens and Mix for about 2 Minutes
  8. Cook for about 5 more Minutes over Medium High Heat; Turn off Heat
  9. Serve with White Rice or Polao

Fenugreek has a very strong flavor, if you are not used to it, try using a lesser quantity than noted in my recipe.
